The role is to “run Funhouse’s candy politics” and guide the “three candy lovers” already in attendance.

“Early last year we were looking for Bonbonlogues, our tasters of original flavors,” said Vanessa Janakijevski-Rebelo, spokeswoman for Candy Funhouse. “We are now looking for our Confectionery General Manager to guide our confectionery lovers gently! »

More than 100,000 applications

The lucky winner will take on many roles, such as approving new products with the “DGC (Directeur Général des Confectioneries)” label, organizing “confectionery council meetings” or even the role of “chief taster”. Not to mention taking care of “all things fun” in the company.

“The offer is open to all residents of North America who are 5 years of age or older. Apparently, “golden taste buds” and “a passion for sweets” are required, the job advert specifies. Candy Funhouse said it had received more than 100,000 applications within two weeks. “The majority are from adults, but about 25 percent are children,” said the spokeswoman.

On social media, the announcement is a huge hit with internet users of all ages. One American user, Matthew Crooks, stated on Twitter that his 8-year-old daughter had applied and even created her LinkedIn profile for the occasion.

“It’s official @candyfunhouseca that she applied. Thank you for helping her learn about work and the importance of a strong resume even though she’s only 8 years old,” he wrote.

After the selection, the recruit is subjected to “extensive tasting training” and of course benefits from full dental insurance.
