Waking up from a long sleep. The Canadian series “Audrey is back” will be available exclusively in France on CANAL+ from April 13th at 11:10 p.m. The ten episodes will be available immediately on the myCANAL streaming platform. Created by Guillaume Lambert and Florence Longpré, this feature film, which won two awards at last year’s CANNESERIES Festival – where it received the Grand Prize and the Special Prize for Interpretation – tells the story of Audrey, a 17-year-old girl who was found unconscious on a country road.
She falls into a coma and wakes up 16 years later in her hospital bed. She is unable to speak, move, and only fragments of her memories come back to her. During all this time, life around her has changed a lot. Audrey has to relearn everything and adjust to a time that is alien to her and that she doesn’t understand. The young woman, who awakens in an adult body, will also rebuild bonds with members of her family, whose existence was turned upside down on the day of the tragedy.
On the eve of the launch of the new edition of the CANNESERIES Festival, Canal+ invites its subscribers to discover this deeply touching Canadian series about awakening, resilience and the difficulty of finding the will to live again after trauma. Florence Longpré, co-creator of the novel, is stunning in the leading role.
