The Lions scored five goals at the Colisee Videotron on Friday, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Florida Everblades. The Trois-Rivières team bent their backs 7 to 5.

At least until striker Blake Winiecki decided to change the game. He kept his team in the game by scoring the first goal in each period.
The success that capped his hat-trick gave the Florida formation the lead early in the third period. Ryan Francis answered for the Lions, but Joe Pendenza and Sean Josling struck late to give their side the win.
Between the posts of the hosts, the evening was not easy for Francis Marotte. The Quebec keeper suffered defeat despite his 39 saves, also losing in front of Logan Lambdin and Andrew Fyten.

It’s the third straight loss for the Lions, who are revisited by the Everblades on Saturday.
