Air Canada starts a service Live TV on board certain aircraft and further some domestic routes to enable you to follow real-time global sporting events or in-flight news.
So good news for football fans who don’t want to miss any games World Championship taking place in Qatar! This television service currently includes six Canadian channels in French and English the content of which is broadcast as part of the comprehensive in-flight entertainment program offered free of charge to all passengers.
On the schedule: full live sports coverage through the TSN, TSN 2 and RDS networks of sporting events including soccer, hockey, basketball, football, baseball, golf, professional motorsports and more; the national CTV News Network, providing 24-hour breaking news from communities across Canada and around the world; LCN, a 24-hour Quebec news channel presenting news and rich programming from dawn to dusk; and BNN Bloomberg for business news.
Currently, 40 Air Canada aircraft offer live TV. The airline expects that 50% of domestic flights will offer it by the second quarter of 2023.
