Quebec’s Lance Stroll started at the back of the peloton and still managed to climb the slope by securing 16th placee Position at the Monza circuit on Sunday.
However, Stroll was unable to collect any points in the drivers’ standings.

The Quebecer admitted to having had some problems with his car, which didn’t help his cause during the day.
“The car didn’t have the pace we needed today, so it was a difficult race. “We tried to do something different with the strategy and only stopped once, but towards the end of the stint the tires started to wear out and I wasn’t able to hold my position,” Stroll told Aston Martin’s website on Sunday.
The 24-year-old driver had major problems over the weekend. In free practice on Friday he wasn’t able to complete a single lap, the last time the main prospect recorded it was in qualifying on Saturday.
“It was a very difficult weekend for us [en parlant de son équipe]. “We still have a lot of work to do before we leave for Singapore in two weeks,” added the Aston Martin team member.
His teammate Fernando Alonso finished the race in ninth place.
Verstappen makes history
Max Verstappen made history on Saturday by winning the tenth consecutive Grand Prix. It surpasses the mark set by Sebastian Vettel in 2013.
The Dutchman also scored a 12the win this season. The 25-year-old now has a comfortable 145-point lead over his nearest rival in the Drivers’ Championship, his Red Bull team-mate Sergio Pérez.
The next race is in two weeks on the Singapore side.
