It’s a special day for nearly 40 members of the National Assembly, who will meet for two weeks before the holidays.
I like to discuss, I like to exchange ideas, I like to defend my projects. But I think when you first get up in the chamber, it’s a feverish moment. I can’t wait to experience this adventure.
said Yannick Gagnon, who was elected in Jonquière in October.
Yannick Gagnon feels he is in good hands to start his new journey. He is sponsored by his colleague from Lac-Saint-Jean, Éric Girard.
The newly elected member is also impressed by the support offered to the newly elected staff of the National Assembly.
We spent 48 hours in the National Assembly, all new MPs with spouses and even the children, to understand the future work of father and mother. I would tell you that for our entrance it is impressive and very benevolent
says Mr. Gagnon.
Worked two months
Since his election on October 3rd, Yannick Gagnon has worked hard in his equestrian sport. He devoted much of his time to helping citizens in need.
I would tell you that 25% of our workload is either helping people in vulnerable situations or providing access to the system.
he explained.
He also met key players with whom he will be working. In particular, he met Julie Labbé, President and CEO of the University’s Center for Integrated Health and Social Services, Raynald Thibeault, CEO of Cégep de Jonquière, and union leaders.
I’m meeting with the elected officials from Jonquière and the council [municipal de Saguenay] next December 5th. The idea is to open the communication channels
concludes Yannick Gagnon.
