The Anecdote application locates tourist spots to discover on the streets of Quebec.

The application accompanies you through an interactive map and is activated each time you approach a point of interest to tell you the stories that have shaped our regionswe can read about it in a press release.

Some will recognize the voice of well-known storytellers like Fred Pellerin.

The Villages relays have identified specific cultural or unusual attractions that are referenced to help travelers discover them.

The application tells you what is happening on your route. There is always a little anecdote or historical element that is told, such as why a street is named that way. »

A quote from Sylvie Bellerose, Executive Director, Federation of Villages-Relais du Quebec

More than 200 communities in Quebec are represented on the anecdote platform.

The Villages relays hope that the new mobile service will make this 13-year-old product with the designation of origin better known.

These are communities accredited by the Department of Transportation to provide basic services such as gasoline, groceries, and emergency parking. The ultimate goal is to counteract the effects of driver fatigue and boost the local economy, Ms Bellerose explained in an interview on the show. It’s never the same.

The Fédération des Villages-relais du Québec is holding its annual meeting in Lac-Bouchette starting Wednesday.
