Montreal Canadiens junior Lane Hutson returned from the World Juniors with the gold medal around his neck and it didn't take long for him to come back to his senses.
In fact, the 19-year-old American gave Boston University a 2-0 lead against Northeastern on Tuesday thanks to a laser. Later, when the score was 2-2, he delivered a perfect pass to his teammate Macklin Celebrini, making the final score 3-2.
In addition to the gold medal, Hutson returned from Sweden with a presence on the competition's all-star team. He is the defender with the highest number of assists (6) during the tournament.
The dynamic defenseman should normally be fine with the Habs when his NCAA season ends.
