A first point for Alexander Romanov

Former Montreal Canadiens defenseman Alexander Romanov earned his first point in a New York Islanders jersey.

On Sunday night at the UBS Arena, he provided an assist for the decisive goal in a 2-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers in a pre-season game.

The 22-year-old Russian was an accomplice to Scott Mayfield’s success in the second third. It was Romanov’s second game in an Islander uniform since he was sold to the Big Apple.

In the last draft, the CH sent him to the Islanders along with a fourth-round pick in exchange for the 13th overall pick of the 2022 auction.

The other scorer for the Winners was Kyle Palmieri, while the Flyers’ response came from Tony DeAngelo’s bat.

Fleury still perfect

At the Fiserv Forum, Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all shots for the Chicago Blackhawks in a 3-0 win.

It should be noted that the Quebecer only had nine shots. He also shut out the Colorado Avalanche in the preseason halfgame he played last Sunday. This time Fleury played the whole game.

The Wild scorers were Connor Dewar, Matt Boldy and Brandon Duhaime. The first two skaters on this list hit the mark understaffed.
