A 12-year-old Quebecer is named CEO of Toys “R” Us – RCI

A boy from Saint-Bruno in the southern suburbs of Montreal has been selected to fill the coveted position of president of general entertainment at Toys “R” Us Canada. 12-year-old Émile Burbidge will be responsible for testing the products and making recommendations.
The new “game manager” is also required to take part in media appearances and events.
The toy retailer chose Émile Burbidge after parents from across Canada helped their children apply for the job.
Once he has played and rated the toys, he can keep them for himself. This position is paid, but the company refuses to disclose its full compensation package, which clearly includes bonus toys.
Emile is the fourth game master to be hired since the toy retailer created the position in 2009.
Émile Burbidge succeeds Alex Thorne from Pickering, another young Canadian who originally comes from the province of Ontario, not far from the city of Toronto. He was entrusted with this task from August 2013 until last December.

Without his workload at Toys “R” Us, the diminutive Ontarian hopes to make more acting appearances on the big screen and work toward becoming a television news anchor.
