Adin Hill has already interested the Canadian

To be honest, I don’t know what Kent Hughes thinks about his situation on the internet anymore. We know DG have been actively looking for a goalkeeper but over the last few days/weeks Hughes seems to have confidence in his current tandem.

After all, he’s not Derby’s Carter Hart, one of the league’s most promising goalies, and as my colleague Félix Forget said last night, we shouldn’t expect management to draft a goalie in the first three rounds of the next draft.

One keeper who was already interested in CH, but at the time of Marc Bergevin it’s Adin Hill, the current Golden Knights keeper.

That’s what Stéphane Waite revealed it on 98.5 FM last night.

He was with the Phoenix Coyotes the year we were looking for a good second goalie, he was in talks at Montreal, Adin Hill.

In the end we settled on Jake Allen. – Stephane Waite

Why am I bringing this news? Because now Hill is world champion. He had just won the Stanley Cup with Vegas and was no stranger to the team’s success, quite the opposite.

He was the No. 1 goalie in most of the playoffs, averaging a .932 save average and a 2.17 clean sheet average. No, he won’t have helped CH win a Stanley Cup in 2022-2023, but…

Last August, Vegas won the Hill Derby. To that end, he gave the Sharks a fourth-round pick, which they didn’t ask for much more of. Whoever has a history comparable to Miikka Kiprusoff has posted good stats for the Nevada team this season.

The duo he forms with Logan Thompson over the next few years will quickly make people forget the problem called Robin Lehner. Do I really have to call back their problems?

While Lehner is still getting paid $5 million a year for doing nothing, Thompson has two more seasons under contract and is getting an annual salary of $766,667. Hill becomes an unrestricted free agent on July 1, but let’s assume he has a good chance of staying in Vegas.

One thing is for sure: he will command a huge raise. Will the team, still on a tight payroll, pull it off? fitter that climb under the covers? The upper limit must not be exceeded during the season, and only by 10% in the off-season.

Could Kent Hughes be interested in the 27-year-old keeper if he doesn’t sign a new contract with the champions?
