Golf: Adam Hadwin will be safe at US Open

The organizer of the United States Open, the United States Golf Association (USGA), has made sure that Canadian golfer Adam Hadwin does not experience the same misfortune as at the RBC Canadian Open on Sunday.

After fellow countryman Nick Taylor won, Hadwin dropped a bottle of champagne on the 18th green and quickly headed for whoever had just won in overtime. However, he was caught by a guard who lunged at him at full speed, pinning him to the ground.

On Monday, the Moose Jaw native posted a video from his locker at the Los Angeles Country Club, where the prestigious major tournament will be held. In particular, there were two hard hats and neon yellow dungarees.

“Adam, we’re glad you’re doing better and that you made the trip. Your health and safety are our top priority. We are here to support you and ensure your well-being,” the USGA wrote in a note accompanying Hadwin’s new paraphernalia.
