All-Star Game: Three Blue Jays dominate the voting

Toronto Blue Jays players Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette and Matt Chapman are the most popular voting leaders for their respective positions in the American League for the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

They dominate the first baseman, shortstop, and third base, respectively. You could find out on Monday when the district presented a first update of the vote.

Among the representatives of Canada’s only major league club, Bichette received more than 775,000 votes. That’s the third-highest total behind New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge (844,965) and Los Angeles Angels hitter-designate Shohei Ohtani (924,182).

At the Nationals, Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. leads by 1,086,537 votes. If voting ended today, the Georgia club would have two more representatives for the celebrations, which will take place in Seattle on July 11th. They are receiver Sean Murphy and shortstop Orlando Arcia.

Back to the Blue Jays: Brandon Belt and Alejandro Kirk are second and fourth in the designated hitter and receiver voting. Kevin Kiermaier (fifth), George Springer (seventh) and Daulton Varsho (tenth) are among the Americans’ outfielders.

This Monday the players of the Queen City team are on leave. They return to action in the first of three games against the Orioles at Camden Yards on Tuesday.
