Wednesday, The team announced Mihailovic’s move to AZ Alkmaara Dutch Premier League club.

The American will complete the campaign with the Montreal team before joining the Dutch organization on January 1, 2023. The amount paid to CF has not been disclosed, but rumors point to 6 million euros or more than 7.7 million Canadian dollars.

The 23-year-old athlete played 54 regular-season games, including 50 starts, and 4,306 minutes over two seasons for CF Montreal. He has recorded a career-high seven goals and four assists this season. By 2021, he had made 16 assists, setting a franchise record.

Mihailovic’s performances helped Nancy’s side climb to second place in Major League Soccer’s Eastern Association. She will attend the Fire in Chicago on Saturday.
