We now know that the Canadian, ranked fifth overall, will be the pick of the NHL’s next annual draft, which will be held in Nashville next June.
If we already know the first two possible options, neither Connor Bedard (Black Hawks) And Adam Fantilli (ducks)there is a good chance that the next two players will be the middle players Leo Karlson And Will Smith.
If any of them are still available at #5, the Canadian will no doubt jump on them. On the other hand, if the logic is respected and both are chosen, the CH management faces an important decision.
That of the selection of the Russian phenomenon Matvey Mikkov or rather ignore it in order to select a less talented but also less risky player.
According to the former player agent David Ettedgui, it would be a monstrous mistake to look up to Michkov. Here’s what he had to say about it on the airwaves today BPM sport.
“The Canadians have to take Michkov. If the Canadians don’t take Michkov, that’s the worst mistake in the last 20 years. If the Canadians don’t take Michkov, they better have some really incredible and accurate information that’s going to say this guy isn’t coming .Because Michkov is the best Russian player since Alex Ovechkin and I haven’t seen anyone as handsome as him since maybe Pavel Bure.Mikkov is a phenomenon, that guy.I take him second to Bedard!
-David Ettedgui
He even goes so far as to put the young hope in the same category as the legends Alex Ovechkin And Paul Bure. Not less.
Will the Canadian have the audacity to risk such a high pick for a prospect whose risk level is so high?
The question should be on everyone’s lips in the coming weeks up to the draft at the end of June.
