Beginning May 15, Air Canada and Bell are offering complimentary email services to all Aeroplan members worldwide flying on all Wi-Fi-enabled aircraft in the company’s fleet, including flights on Air Canada Rouge and Air Canada Express.

Bell will be the primary sponsor of Air Canada’s onboard Wi-Fi services.

Customers can send and receive text messages over Wi-Fi using popular messaging apps such as Apple’s iMessage, Meta’s WhatsApp and Messenger, Rakuten’s Viber, and Messages by Google.

This privilege also applies to members of strategic airline partner loyalty programs, including United Airlines’ MileagePlus, Lufthansa Group’s Miles & More and Emirates’ Skywards, when their account number is linked to an Air Canada booking.

Free SIM cards

This partnership also offers newcomers and visitors to Canada access to quick and easy ways to keep in touch once they arrive in the country, as a mobile SIM card is offered free of charge on certain international flights. New owners can activate it in-flight and are connected as soon as they arrive.

To support Air Canada and Bell’s commitment to their customers, additional collaboration opportunities and customer benefits are being developed, including Aeroplan’s rewards offerings. In addition, Air Canada’s award-winning inflight entertainment offering will be expanded with the expansion of live television service to cross-border flights, scheduled for later this summer.
