The feature film directed by Martin Bourboulon (eiffel), leading actor François Civil (In body) as D’Artagnan, a young Gascon aspiring to join the ranks of the royal musketeers in the early 16th century, when France, divided by the Wars of Religion, feared an invasion from England.

Reinterpretation of a classic

If the main story lines of Alexandre Dumas are respected, the screenplay is full of details and subplots invented for the occasion; enough to breathe new life into a work that has already been adapted many times.

The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan also benefited from a Quebec perspective during filming, which lasted no less than 150 days. Montreal native Nicolas Bolduc, recognized for his work on Hochelaga, land of souls And Enemysigns the cinematography of the film.

Upon its April 5 release in France, the film received 3.7 out of a possible 5 stars from French content aggregator Allociné, a rating based on reviews from 37 newspapers and magazines.
