Marc Bergevin is still connected to the penguins

Former Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin’s name has again been linked to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Speaking on his 32 Thoughts podcast on Wednesday, renowned Sportsnet network reporter Elliotte Friedman said the 57-year-old could be “on the radar” for the Pennsylvania club. The Pens are looking for a new DG after wiping the slate clean at the end of their 2022-2023 season.

“I’m not saying he will be, but I think he will be an interesting candidate in their search,” Friedman said.

This isn’t the first time Bergevin’s name has been linked with the penguins: two weeks ago, TVA Sports presenter Jean-Charles Lajoie raised the possibility in his daily newspaper.

The former CEO of CH currently serves as an advisor to Los Angeles Kings general manager Rob Blake. He had landed that job just months after being fired by the Canadian in November 2021.
