Already 10 playoff goals for Joshua Roy

Montreal Canadiens prospect Joshua Roy broke the 10-goal mark for the first time in his junior career in Tuesday night’s playoffs.

The Sherbrooke Phoenix forward hit the target in an empty net to take his record to 10 hits and nine assists for 19 points in just seven games. The fifth-round choice of CH is the second-best scorer in the Major Junior Hockey League.

The Phoenix seized the opportunity to win 4-1 and eliminated the Drummondville Voltigeurs with a win on Wednesday.

Another hope for the Canadian is in the playoffs among the top 5 scorers at the circuit. Riley Kidney added three points to his record and now has 16 in eight games. The Gatineau Olympiques center player is crucial to his team’s success as they defeated the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 7-3.

The Outaouais side lead 3-0 and could also advance to the next round on Wednesday.

The adventure continues for Ontario Junior League defender Logan Mailloux. The 2021 first-round pick was an assist in the London Knights’ 5-0 win over Kitchener Rangers.

Some hopes shine

The West League has been talking about some of the best players for the next National League Draft. Such is the case of forward Brayden Yager, ranked 11th best skater in North America according to Central Scouting, who racked up four assists in the Moose Jaw Warriors’ 8-4 win over Winnipeg Ice. For the latter, Zach Benson (6th) added an assist.
