The Canadiens’ 2022-2023 season has just concluded, but our analyst Maxim Lapierre already has two attacking duos in his eye that should be the most used and most dangerous on offense next year if he has his way.
Among the four candidates approached by Lapierre, a certain Quebec winger he says has all the elements to do damage over a long period of time. To say that the attacker in question hasn’t even started his last season in the NHL…
“I think Rafaël Harvey-Pinard has his place in a front row or a second row,” Lapierre hammered with aplomb on Friday night during the JiC show.

“I would see him in the second unit with Kirby Dach but Dach will also need a regular goalscorer as is the case with Suzuki who already have Caufield. Those last two would obviously be paired on the first line. However, Cole and Nick would also be more effective if they had another winger on their side who can score goals and create offense.

“Overall, the Habs need to get power for their first two lines, and that can be done by taking over Pierre-Luc Dubois, for example.”
