Brunet leads the Tigers into a good haven
At Colisée Desjardins, Frédéric Brunet stole the show with a 3-2 overtime win for Victoriaville Tigres over Charlottetown Islanders.
The former Rimouski Océanic captain, who was acquired for two draft picks earlier in the month, scored the winner in overtime and racked up two assists.
Brunet became an accomplice to William Veillette and Maxime Pellerin. The latter leveled the target right at the start of the third twenty in a massive attack.
For Prince Edward Island, Owen Hollingsworth opened the scoring midway through the first period. Lucas Romeo also put his two cents into the defeat and scored on goal on the power play.
Before the Islanders cage, Dixon Grimes was a lot busier than his counterpart. He made 38 saves against 26 for Gabriel D’Aigle.
