Olembe Sports Complex
The Canadian manufacturer accuses the Ministry of Sports of having blocked the progress of the work complex Athletes from Olembe.
“As of July 2021, there have been no bill payments for the progress of the work of the complex Athletes from Olembe,” the Canadian company is responding to allegations by Cameroon’s Minister of Sport and Physical Education (Minsep).
Magil argues that the decision to unilaterally terminate the contractprevailed because of the Minsep’s “breaches of contract”.
“Despite all of the proposed arbitration requests, the latter has refused to resolve the issues for almost a year MAGIL and sent numerous correspondences that remained “dead letters”.
In addition, the developer claims that the payments were not made while the funds were available, which made it possible to settle all the actors involved in the project.
In a letter to the Cameroonian Prime Minister, Minister of Sport Mouelle Kombi, he affirmed that the Canadian manufacturer unilaterally broke with the contract Construction of complex Athlete from Olembe after raising more than 53 billion FCFA, including 42 from loans and 11 from own funds.
Obviously, the soap opera is on the case MAGIL is far from over.
