FIMU 2023 will honor Canada

The FIMU 2023 is all about Canada. The International University Music Festival presented part of its program this Friday. After Brazil in 2021 and Lebanon in 2022, this edition will highlight residents of the Far North. It takes place from Thursday 25th May to Sunday 28th May. this time again, there will be 14 stages despite the work on the Place de la République.

The call for artists ends on January 3rd, but we already know the sponsor of the festival. It’s about Quebec folk singer Émile Bilodeau.
Also present are Hugo Diaz, a jazz musician who studied at the Montbéliard Conservatory, as well as the choir and the orchestra of the Grandes Ecoles.

The 2024 edition should also take place normally

Computer Science students from Belfort Montbéliard University of Technology work on a portable application for the program as well as information about the festival in real time.

There have been several concerns regarding the organization of the 2024 edition, while the Paris Olympics will take place in the same period. The organizers are reassured there should be no problem regarding the implementation of the FIMU.
