The participation rate at the early polling stations (BVA) was 24.44% this year. Of the 6.29 million registered voters, 1.54 million people cast their ballots in the ballot box. This has been unthinkable since at least 1998.
This record quota includes seven of eight election days scheduled for this year by Élections Québeci.e. two days of pre-elections (September 25 and 26) and five days of voting in the Returning Officer’s office (September 23, 24, 27, 28 and 29).
The eighth and final day of voting will take place on Monday 3 October. The eagerly awaited results will be announced in the evening.

The returning officer is now preparing for October 3rd. He is also still seeking electoral staff in seven Ridings, namely Mégantic, Mont-Royal-Outremont, D’Arcy-McGee, L’Assomption, Beauharnois, Hull and Pontiac.
