On “L’Après-game NHL,” Arizona Coyotes head coach André Tourigny expressed his disbelief at the NHL’s coaching carousel.
“[Changer d’entraîneur] That doesn’t mean it works every time. Let’s say there is a team that will do it and things will turn around, there will be a lot of success. On the other hand, for every time it happens, there are five that will change absolutely nothing, but nobody will talk about it.
“In life you see what you want to see. The Stanley Cup winner finished last with the same team not so long ago. The same goes for Jon Cooper. At some point, when the chemistry between GM and coach is right, you have to understand that there will also be bad seasons. he added.
A victory that feels good
The Coyotes also earned their first win at Mullet Arena on Tuesday, beating the Florida Panthers 3-1. A result that makes the team coach happy. “The atmosphere is excellent and the players are working hard. The audience is there too, it’s really “the fun”.
Tourigny also admitted it was an adjustment period for the team as the Coyotes once again have several new additions to their roster. “The best way to get to know your players is by playing the games, and we’re not going to hide it, it just gets faster as the season progresses in the NHL.”
Finally, the Coyotes manager was asked about the Canadian’s surprise start to the season, but he feels it’s too early to tell. “Don’t you guys have anything else to do?” There are many things that will change by the end of the season. he said laughing.
