The Montreal Canadiens’ home club of the ECHL, the Trois-Rivières Lions, unveiled their roster for the opening game of the 2022-2023 season on Wednesday.
In this second season for the Mauricie team, fans can see some familiar faces at work, including strikers Cédric Montminy and William Leblanc, defenders Mathieu Brodeur and Olivier Galipeau and goalkeeper Philippe Desrosiers.
Cameron Hillis, who was drafted in the third round by CH 2018, will be back with the Lions but he will be joined by two other prospects from the organization. Forward Brett Stapley, who finished college with 43 points in 41 games in 2021-22, and goaltender Joe Vrbetic will be kept in mind.
Some veterans including Émile Poirier, Anthony Beauregard and Santino Centorame also joined the group.
The Lions begin their regular season at home at the Videotron Coliseum when they host the Maine Mariners on Friday.
