(Toronto) Patricia Jaggernauth, a prominent Toronto television personality, has filed a complaint with the Canadian Human Rights Commission against Bell Media, her former employer, alleging systematic discrimination against her.

In her complaint, she alleges that Bell has repeatedly denied her promotions and tried to limit her ability to work as a freelancer, even though the company never offered her a full-time position.

In an email sent on Saturday, Bell Media said it does not comment on cases involving current or former employees.

If we determine that one of our employees does not feel adequately supported, a process to review the situation will be put in place. »
Mme Jaggernauth said he raised his concerns with Bell’s management, including its vice president of news, Michael Melling. She claims not to have been taken seriously. Mr Melling has been on holiday since August after CTV news anchor Lisa LaFlamme controversially left.
