All National Hockey League (NHL) teams continue to drop players from their rosters for the start of the next regular season, and several veterans are impacted by waivers.
Several interesting athletes, including former Montreal Canadiens, were added to the list on Sunday.
Washington Capitals goaltender Zachary Fucale, who won his first NHL game last year, is dependent on waivers. Another former CH bouncer, Dustin Tokarski, now a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, was also left out.
The 33-year-old veteran played 29 games for the Buffalo Sabers last season.
The captain of the Laval Rocket in previous seasons, defender Xavier Ouellet, also saw his name on waivers from the Pens. The Quebec native has 41 points in 61 American League games in 2021-2022.
Gustav Olofsson (Seattle Kraken), William Lagesson (Carolina Hurricanes), Jake Lucchini (Ottawa Senators) and William Bitten (St. Louis Blues) are other Montreal organization alumni on Sunday’s list.
Also note the presence of goalies Malcolm Subban (Sabres) and Michael Hutchinson (Vegas Golden Knights), forward Drake Caggiula (Penguins) and defenseman Anthony Bitetto (Florida Panthers).
