Radio-Canada journalist and host Gilles Gougeon is officially retiring after a busy 55-year career.
Gilles Gougeon has been a journalist since 1958 and spent most of his career in Radio-Canada’s radio and television department. He stood out for his talent as a reporter and later as a presenter, in particular as the presenter of the programs Le 60, Le Point, Tous pour un and of course La Facture, which he hosted from 1995 to 2003.
Gilles Gougeon also hosted L’Objectif on Radio-Québec in the early 1980s.
In the early 2000s, Gilles Gougeon successively hosted Le Téléjournal and the program 5 sur 5 before joining the team of the international news program Une Hour sur Terre, where he ended his career at Radio-Canada.
A great traveler, his career has taken him to more than 40 countries. Gilles Gougeon is also the author of several novels, including Catalina, Taxi pour la liberté and Katchanga.
