A good indication of Kirby Dach’s health

Should we be concerned about the health of Kirby Dach, who missed practice on Wednesday, the day before the Montreal Canadiens face off against the Los Angeles Kings?

It seems not.

“I was told that we have no concerns on the team management side,” journalist Renaud Lavoie reported during the second intermission of the game between the Kings and the Toronto Maple Leafs, presented on TVA Sports.

We cannot confirm his presence for Thursday night’s game, but there is reason to believe he will be at his post.

“In training, Martin St-Louis spoke to four players from the first unit about the power play. So that means roof has not been replaced in this discussion. It gives us the impression that Dach will be in tomorrow’s game.

Huge reduction for David Savard

Additionally, it looks like veteran David Savard will play fewer minutes this season.

Head coach Martin St-Louis confirmed he will begin managing the imposing bearded man’s workload.

This management has actually already begun, Lavoie clarified.

Savard’s average playing time, which was 20 minutes and 14 seconds last season, is 16 minutes and 24 seconds after four games.

“It’s four minutes that we just took away from him, that’s huge,” Lavoie noted. It has to be said that there is more depth than last year. Lane Hutson is eating up a lot of minutes right now.”

Savard’s next game will also be his 800th in the National League.
