Canadiens players are entitled to a closed pension during training camp

The Montreal Canadiens training camp officially begins tomorrow.

We have already reported today about the 59 players who received an invitation to participate.

Of the 59 players, 35 are forwards, 17 are defensemen and 7 are goalies. 43 of them have an NHL contract, while 12 come to camp with an AHL contract. In addition, three players are invited for a professional tryout and one is an unsigned player.

According to which reports Anthony Marcotte from BPM SportsAs part of the camp, which is scheduled to last through October 7, the CH players who were not cut will travel to Mont-Tremblant on October 2 for a four-day closed retreat through October 5, returning via the suite in time to host the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Bell Centre for the first game of the season on October 9.

This is not the first time that the CH organization has opted for this approach, which gives all players on the team the opportunity to clear their heads and focus exclusively on the upcoming season while also forging a closer bond between them.

It can only be good for team spirit before a long season begins.
