And the Dobberhockey experts obviously believe in little Hutson’s offensive potential, because they have placed him fourth.
Brandt Clark (Los Angeles Kings), David Jiricek (Columbus Blue Jackets) and Alexander Nikishin (Carolina Hurricanes) are the only higher ranked guards in this top 50. Two other CH prospects, David Reinbacher and Logan Mailloux, appear further down this ranking, at 24th and 37th respectively.
Hutson, 20, made his NHL debut in April, playing in the Canadiens’ final two games of the season and recording two assists.
He signed his contract with the Habs after two seasons of absolute dominance in the American College Circuit (NCAA) with Boston University.
The 1.75 meter tall young man was drafted by CH in the second round (62nd overall) in 2022.
