Caufield is evacuated by the French

The USA wasn’t in trouble either on Thursday as they beat France 5-0.

The spark plugs on offense were New York Islanders center Brock Nelson, who scored a goal and two assists, and Minnesota Wild winger Matt Boldy, who scored twice and picked off a pass.

Johnny Gaudreau and Shane Pinto also scored goals in the win, while goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic only had to make ten saves to earn the shutout.

The United States currently sits third in Group B.

Finland stumbles

In the other two games of the group stage, which took place on Thursday, Finland was initially surprised by Austria with a score of 3: 2. Austria, who had made life difficult for Canada early two days later, scored two goals in the third period to escape with the victory.

Canadian youth player Oliver Kapanen scored again in the defeat: he has now scored six goals in four games since the start of the competition.

Finally, Sweden, which beat Kazakhstan 3-1, dominates the Group B table with four wins and 12 points in four games.
