Canada squandered a two-goal lead in the third period and ended the Spengler Cup preliminary round on Thursday with a 3-4 defeat against HC Davos.
The three unanswered goals in the final 20 minutes of play prevented the Maple Leaf from earning a pass to the competition's Final Four. He therefore has to play against KalPa from Kuopio in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Michael Fora scored early after 1:23 in the third round and initiated the comeback of the tournament hosts. The 40-year-old veteran Andres Ambühl brought the two teams back to level at halftime of the game.
