Émile Robitaille, a student at École Nationale d’aérotechniques (ÉNA), won gold at the Canadian Trades and Technologies Olympiads on May 25 and 26 in Winnipeg. Anyone studying aircraft maintenance techniques will join Team Canada at the World Career Fair in Lyon in September 2024.

“Time was the biggest problem and I had to work quickly,” explains Émile about the tests he had to complete during the competition.

The young man, national champion in the aerospace engineering category, took part for the first time after weeks of work and effort.

In the coming months, the student will train with Canadian expert Louis Anderson to prepare for his participation in WorldSkills 2024, where he aims to win the title of World Champion.

The competition will take place at a high level and the events, which will be more numerous than before, will be spread over four days.

In the Canadian competition, Team Quebec won 32 medals in 29 battles. (ADVERTISEMENT)
