Offensive Stats: Nick Suzuki thinks big

The Canadiens’ main goal this 2023-2024 season is obviously to play competitive hockey for as long as possible. And in order for that to happen, the club has to let its best players shine.

Among them, Nick Suzuki tops the list. As captain and the club’s highest earner, the expectations placed on him are naturally high.

On social media in the last few days, I’ve seen several people wondering whether the No. 14, who totaled 66 points in 82 games last season, could reach a different level this year: that of average points per Game. Last year in the Bettman circuit (among skaters who competed in at least 20 duels) 38 players achieved this.

What better way to start a quality discussion on this topic than by interviewing the primary concerned person?

In the main video I summarize Nick’s answer and that of Martin St-Louis, whose opinion I also sought on this question. I believe her words will make you smile.
