D-Box reviews its strategic options. Talks have started in recent months with a number of parties that could lead to the sale of the Longueuil company, known for its lively entertainment seats.
The Board of Directors of D-Box has engaged Fasken Martineau DuMoulin as Legal Counsel and Stifel as Financial and Strategic Advisor to assist in the review process.
No timeline has been set for the completion of the strategic review process and management emphasizes that there can be no guarantee that the review process will result in a transaction.
D-Box operates today in three business segments. There’s the cinema, where the company’s vibrating seats are offered in more than 800 D-box-equipped rooms.
The company is also active with its technology in the industrial sector in vocational training, notably at Caterpillar and John Deere, while the residential/consumer segment of D-Box includes home theater seats, video game chairs and racing simulators.
In addition to its headquarters in Longueuil, D-Box has offices in Los Angeles, USA, and Beijing, China.
D-Box stock has fluctuated between 7 cents and 13 cents on the Toronto Stock Exchange for the past year.
D-Box will also hold its annual general meeting at the end of September.
