The Toronto Blue Jays held on in the extra inning at Fenway Park on Wednesday to win Game 2 of their series against the Boston Red Sox 3-2.

Canada’s only major league baseball team has its supporters to thank for this narrow win. Adam Cimber (10-5) and Jordan Romano muzzled the hosts’ batters late in the game to lead them to victory. See the highlights in the video above.

Outfielder George Springer hit the winning run in the extra inning. He beat Ryan Braiser with a double into left field (0-3) to allow Jackie Bradley Jr. to cross the plate.

In that defensive struggle, the game of the game came in the third inning, courtesy of Matt Chapman. The third baseman made a spectacular dive to catch Rafael Devers’ shot from a jump. He then passed the ball to Bo Bichette, who completed the double play by hitting Vladimir Guerrero Jr. on first base.

It was the son of the Montreal Expos’ earlier glory, leveling the game with a one-run single in the fifth inning and imitating his teammate Alejandro Kirk, who pulled off the same maneuver in the fourth.

The Red Sox had taken the lead through Franchy Cordero, who sent a bid out of bounds from Jose Berrios to open scoring in the second inning. Enrique Hernandez also completed his lap on the trails of the sequence.

Despite a rocky start, Berrios can say mission accomplished as a starting pitcher. He put six batters in the glove in as many innings and only allowed five strikes from the safe.

The same goes for Brayan Bello, who had seven strikeouts. He allowed one more goal than Berrios in a working inning less.

The Blue Jays and Red Sox will wrap up that three-game series on Thursday.
