The cyclist from the Israel-Premier Tech team thus achieved his best result of the 2023 edition of the prestigious competition. Recall that the 32-year-old athlete had placed 20the during the July 3 phase. With his daily result, the native of Sainte-Perpétue made up 14 places in the overall standings and is now 46the Rank.
Houle finished the day’s race five minutes and 31 seconds behind the day’s winner: Dutchman Wout Poels (Bahrain Victorious).
The latter covered the 179 km between Les Gets les Portes du Soleil and Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc in 4:40:45 hours. He was the only one able to put an end to the hostilities as he was part of a breakaway early in the race.
