Young and old enjoyed a successful Canada Day, crowned by a performance by Ludovick Bourgeois, despite the uncertain weather.
Several hundred people gathered at the Edwin Bélanger Bandstand on the Plains of Abraham to witness Canada Day graduation ceremonies in Quebec City.
Ludovick Bourgeois, whose task it was to entertain the audience at the end of the evening, did not disappoint. The one who won The voice In 2017, he delighted his followers by performing many of his hits, including echoin addition to overhauling BB titles.
The Quebecers’ favorite singer also delighted the youngest present through interpretation teenage dreamby Katy Perry, as well call me Maybeby Carly Rae Jepsen.
The little ones could also have fun on this day of celebration, because they had numerous inflatable games and other entertainment options at their disposal.
Proud to be Canadian
In this 1um On July, National Maple Leaf Day, we polled revelers to find out what being Canadian means to them.
“Canada is beautiful everywhere,” replied Ahmed, 11, candidly. “Besides, everyone is nice and we have a lot of freedom,” he continued.
“I’m very proud to be Canadian,” said Monique, who has traveled the world without hesitation. “Other countries are always very welcoming to Canadians; that says a lot.”
Monique’s friend, who preferred not to give her name, said that pride in being Canadian and pride in speaking French shouldn’t overlap.
“There are many Franco-Ontarians and Franco-Manitobans who take great pride in being Canadian without it detracting from their love of French.”
