Ford Government Announces Additional $30 Million for Windsor Regional Hospital to Fund Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease Treatments
This funding will allow more patients in the Windsor-Essex area to be diagnosed and treated closer to home
said the province in a statement.
The money will help renovate the hospital’s cardiac catheterization lab and add a second catheterization table that will provide “continuous and convenient access to cardiac patients in the area.”
The funding will also be used to expand the cancer center to install a new linear accelerator. This additional linear accelerator will enable Windsor Regional Hospital to treat more cancer patients with life-saving radiation therapy faster than ever before
explains the province.
Our Government is providing Windsor Regional Hospital with the funds it needs to provide the best possible care to patients in the region while we work to build a new, modern hospital
says Health Secretary Sylvia Jones.
